Who we are
Bocconi Navigator is run by Intellete Consultancy Ltd (Registered in England and Wales, company number 15396517), 510 Foundry Lane, Leeds, LS9 6RF, United Kingdom. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under number [ICO_NUMBER]. For anything about your data, email [PRIVACY_EMAIL].
What we collect
- Your name and email address.
- Your password, stored only in hashed form. Nobody, including us, can read it.
- Your exam date and study plan.
- Your practice, quiz and test results.
- Activity and usage data, such as which lessons you open and when.
- Device and IP information.
- Your payment status (paid or not, and when). Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Your age group (not your date of birth), and the choices you made about terms and marketing.
Security and anti-copying measures
We want to be open about this. We log activity such as test attempts, timing and the devices you use, and we flag unusual patterns. Practice tests carry identifiers linked to your account, including some that are not visible on screen, so that leaked test content can be traced back to the account it came from. We do this to protect our content. We may suspend accounts that break the Terms.
Why we use your data (legal bases)
- Contract: to give you the service you signed up for, including your account, study plan and paid access.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure, prevent copying and abuse, and improve the app.
- Consent: for marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: to keep payment records for tax purposes.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us run the service: Stripe (payments), our hosting and database provider, our email provider, and [LIST_OTHER_PROCESSORS]. They may only use your data to provide their service to us. We never sell personal data.
International transfers
Some of these providers store data outside the UK. When that happens, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses so your data stays protected to UK standards.
How long we keep it
- Account and study data: for as long as your account is open. It is deleted when you delete your account.
- If your access ends, we keep your progress and results for 12 months so you can pick up where you left off. After that we delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time. We email you 30 days before this happens.
- Security logs: for as long as needed to investigate misuse, and no longer than your account exists.
- Payment records: kept for as long as UK tax law requires (normally six years), disconnected from your identity where possible.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to how we use it, and withdraw consent. You can download your data and delete your account yourself in Account settings. For anything else, email [PRIVACY_EMAIL]. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Under 18s
Many of our users are teenagers, so we take extra care:
- Under-13s cannot create an account.
- If you are 13 to 17, a parent or guardian must know you are signing up and agree to these terms, and any payment must be made by a parent, guardian or other adult.
- We store only your age group, never your date of birth.
- For 13 to 17 year olds, marketing emails are off by default, the account is never public, and your data is never used for advertising.
